Last month the council and staff held a dedication lunch for Rev. David Rommereim's 30th anniversary of ordination.   Joined by the local Bishop, Rev. Robert Alan Rimbo,  we shared food and memorable photos in celebration of our pastor's dedicated service to the community for 30 years to date.

"I was overwhelmed and humbled by the offering of gifts and the gifts of
friendship and faith. I was thrilled at the support from many of the older
members of Good Shepherd, Bay Ridge, and also that persons attended from Good
Shepherd Ministry, Bay Ridge United Methodist Ministry, Children Youth and
Family, the Older Adult Ministry, the Wednesday Bible Study, Brooklyn
Congregations United, The Russian MeetUp Community, and the extended ministry of
Good Shepherd through Lutheran Health Care, Leif Ericson Day School, Founding
Council, and Interfaith Assembly for Homeless and Housing. I was also very
pleased that persons from the Arab American Association came to the worship. It
was an overall wonderful event that the Bishop was fully engaged in and gave him
an opportunity to experience the exciting mission at Good Shepherd.

Generally, it represented a wide collection of strong powerful leaders for
the common well-being of our borough, city and community. And it was an amazing
gift with so many people caring for the hospitality of all who came to the
event.  Thank you all so very much"  - Pastor
